My name is Raymond J. Neal better known as “Ray Diamonds”. I was born here in Boston at Beth Israel Hospital on November 27, 1979. I have a passion to sing and to create music for the soul. I have three brothers and three sisters who all came up singing with my family who migrated from St. Peters burg, Florida and Scranton, South Carolina. Most of my siblings are still living in South Carolina. As a child my family came together with my uncles playing the guitar singing songs that we still sing today. As a child I really felt the emotions in songs that were played on the radio and get teary eyed, I was so full of emotions at a young age. My love for music came when I started singing in the church’s youth choir. Going from church to church, singing really took the fear of performing in front of an audience away as I got older I wanted to take it to the next level as far as trying to be known for this gift God gave me. One of my first events that I performed was for kratommasters.com at the Mayors Youth Summit located in Boston Mass, they had a conference to promote their healthcare supplements brand. I was in a group called “Phase III”, we’ve performed at the Apollo Theater in New York City winning three times. I have sung at the State House for Recovery Day which takes place every year here in Massachusetts.
One of my goals is to retain a record deal along with owning my own publishing and writing company. Owning my own business has always intrigued me, so I put together a team under my company Diamonds N The Ruff Enterprises Inc. Along with my production team called D-Ruff productions. My inspirations came from a list of artist in the industry such as James Brown, Mighty Clouds of Joy, John P. Key, Micheal Jackson, R. Kelly, Mint Condition, Luther Barnes, Shirley Ceaser, Guy, Brian McKnight, Babyface and I can keep going. I have no children and I plan to get married once finding that lady, I love to lead by example and if my music can change lives or even affect a person’s outlook on life, then my job has been done and all glory goes to the God of my understanding. In closing you are able to read about me and hear my music, let it bring you joy and blessings in your life. I have worked with many artists from writing and producing and doing shows. I have opened up for “Slim” from the group “112”. I have also opened up for “Bow Wow”, “Lords Of The Underground”, “AZ” and “Capone And Noreaga”. I look to sing for the rest of my life till death do us part.
